Medical school is about to start! If you’re about to begin the journey of becoming a doctor by matriculating to med school, here are 4 things you need to know before the first day!

1. Study Habits Need to Be Perfected – the study strategies you used in college are not nearly as effective or as powerful as what you’ll be doing in med school, guaranteed.
2. You Will Doubt Yourself – imposter syndrome is not uncommon.
3. Professionalism and hierarchy in medicine – for better or for worse, the field of medicine is very hierarchal. That means you follow the pecking order and “stay in line.” Be respectful to everyone on the healthcare time, including nurses and mid levels, and you’ll be much better off
