A high school teen develops symptoms such as dizziness upon standing, fatigue, racing heart and fainting. One year she missed 100 days of school. A Mayo Clinic team diagnosed her with what’s called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, or POTS. The condition has only been recently given a name, and kids who have it are finally getting a proper diagnosis and the treatment they need.
